Below are simple care instructions for all common materials used in Everlo products.
These care instructions cover all materials used across Everlo products — including current and upcoming releases.
1. Bamboo Products
Bamboo is durable, antibacterial and naturally eco-friendly — but it thrives with gentle care.
How to care:
- Wash with warm, soapy water
- Air dry completely before storing
- Keep away from standing water
- Apply a small amount of natural oil (optional) to maintain smoothness
- Store in a dry, cool location
Avoid:
✘ Soaking for long periods
✘ Dishwasher
✘ High heat or direct sunlight for extended periods
2. Natural Fibre Products (Sisal, Coconut Coir, Jute, Hemp)
Used in brushes, scrubbing tools, and cloths.
How to care:
- Rinse after each use
- Shake off excess water
- Air dry in a well-ventilated area
- For deep cleaning: soak in warm water + mild soap for 10 minutes
Avoid:
✘ Leaving fibres sitting in water
✘ Harsh chemical cleaners
✘ High heat drying
3. Silicone (Food-Grade, Reusable)
Getting Started With Silicone Bags
New to reusable silicone bags?
Our silicone bags feature a thick, leak-resistant seal designed to help prevent spills and extend the life of the bag. Because of this, the seal may feel firmer than disposable plastic bags when new.
This is completely normal and the seal will become softer and easier to handle with regular use.
Opening the seal for filling
To easily open the seal, use a three-finger pinch:
• Place your thumb and middle finger on the outside of the seal and press inward
• At the same time, place your index finger inside the seal and pull outwards
• The seal should pop open without excessive force
Most customers find the bags become easier to open after the first few uses.

Drying the Bag
Although silicone bags are dishwasher safe, they dry differently from disposable bags or rigid containers.
For faster drying:
• Place the bag upside down over four dish rack prongs.
• Keep the seal fully open during drying.
• Allow airflow to circulate inside the bag.
• Ensure the inside is completely dry before long-term storage.
Dishwasher Tips
For best dishwasher results:
• Place bags on the top rack.
• Position upside down.
• Avoid folding or compressing the bag during the cycle.
• Use standard or eco cycles rather than prolonged high-heat programs.

Silicone Care, Staining & Odours:
Silicone is highly durable, flexible and heat-resistant. With regular use, some foods may occasionally leave cosmetic staining or temporary odours, particularly oily, strongly coloured or strongly scented foods. This is normal and does not affect product safety or performance.
This can occur when exposed to:
- oily foods (e.g. sauces, dressings, cheese)
- strongly coloured foods (e.g. tomato, curry)
- strongly scented foods (e.g. garlic, onion, fish)
- high-heat dishwasher cycles or strong detergents
This is normal and does not affect safety or performance.
How to minimise staining & odours:
- Rinse shortly after use
- Use standard or eco dishwasher cycles (avoid high heat)
- Use mild detergent
- Avoid prolonged contact with heavily pigmented foods
- Store strongly scented foods for shorter periods where practical and rinse soon after use.
How to reduce staining & odours (if they occurs)
- Fill a glass or stainless-steel bowl with equal parts distilled white vinegar and warm (not hot) water—enough to fully submerge pouches.
- Submerge pouches completely, pressing out air bubbles; cover and soak 12–16 hours (overnight).
- Drain, then apply baking soda paste (3 parts soda to 1 part water) to interior seams and zipper track.
- Use a clean soft-bristle toothbrush—never nylon or scouring pads—to scrub gently in circular motions for 60 seconds per pouch.
- Rinse under cool running water until water runs completely clear—no slip or residue.
- Air-dry *upside-down* on a clean dish rack with zipper fully open; avoid towel-drying interiors (lint retention).
4. Stainless Steel
Reliable, long-lasting and fully recyclable.
How to care:
- Hand wash or dishwasher
- Dry immediately to avoid water spots
- Polish with a cloth to maintain shine
Avoid:
✘ Abrasive cleaners
✘ Chlorine-based cleaners
5. Cotton & Bamboo Cloths
Reusable cloths reduce waste but benefit from proper washing.
How to care:
- Machine wash on gentle cycle
- Use mild detergent
- Air dry for longest lifespan (inside-out)
- For stains: soak in warm water plus mild stain remover.
Note:
Natural fibres may relax or tighten after washing
Avoid:
✘ Fabric softeners (reduce absorbency)
✘ High heat dryers
✘ Bleach
6. Packaging & Disposal
Some products may come in compostable or recyclable packaging.
How to dispose responsibly:
- Compostable bags → home compost or green bin (check local rules)
- Paper packaging → recycle
- Minimal plastic → recycle where soft plastics are accepted
Quick Tips for Longer Product Life
- Let products fully dry before storing
- Avoid high heat on plant-based materials
- Clean regularly to prevent mould or bacteria build-up
- Store in a dry, well-ventilated area
- Treat natural items gently — they’re strong, but organic
