Our Materials & Sustainability

At EVERLO, we believe thoughtful choices start with understanding what everyday products are made from. We select practical materials with durability, function and design in mind, and aim to reduce unnecessary waste and packaging where possible.

This is an overview of the materials used across our range. Because each finished product is different, please refer to its individual product page for specific materials, testing information and care guidance.

1. Materials across our range

Platinum-cured silicone

Selected EVERLO food storage bags use platinum-cured silicone designed for repeated use in the kitchen. Product-specific descriptions explain their features, suitability and supporting testing information.

Cotton

Our reusable produce bags use cotton mesh or muslin. They are washable, breathable alternatives to single-use produce bags and are designed for everyday shopping and storage.

Bamboo and natural brush fibres

Our kitchen brushes use materials such as bamboo, sisal and palm fibres, depending on the item. Some products also use metal fittings or other manufacturing components. Full material information and care instructions are provided on the relevant product pages.

2. Natural fibres and finished products

Materials such as cellulose, cotton, coconut coir and sisal originate from plants. However, the properties of those individual fibres do not necessarily apply to a complete manufactured product, which may contain binders, reinforcement or other components.

We assess material and end-of-life claims at the finished-product level. We do not assume a product is plastic-free, biodegradable or home-compostable solely because it contains natural fibres.

3. Reusability and everyday performance

We favour useful products designed for repeated use and reasonable care. Durability, functionality and product lifespan are important parts of our purchasing decisions. How long an item lasts depends on how it is used, cleaned and stored.

4. Packaging and waste reduction

We aim to avoid unnecessary retail packaging and use suitable protective materials for shipping. Where practical, this includes paper-based packaging. Packaging can vary by product and order, so follow the material and disposal instructions provided with your purchase and local recycling guidance.

5. Product information and testing

We work with suppliers to obtain material specifications and relevant testing or declarations where appropriate. The scope of any test is important: documentation for a raw material is not automatically certification of a complete finished product.

6. Continuous improvement

We continue to review materials, packaging and product design as new options become available. Our focus is on practical products, transparent descriptions and improvements that make sense for everyday use.
